Hooligan? is an hour-long serial narrative which functions as a layered, gritty homage to hard-nosed blue-collar diversity and Shakespearean tropes, set in a world of tattoo culture and punk rock attitude which is under represented in narrative but extremely popular in reality television (8 reality series currently airing; i.e Ink Master, Black Ink Crew, Tattoo Fixers). Ostensibly, the ten-episode season is about a man’s journey from tragic childhood to a damaged adult searching for a more fruitful life wading through the chaos surrounding his friends, family and the changes and contradictions their lives inhabit through daily struggles. Sometimes good people do bad things.
